Explorer Pledge

As an explorer of central Minnesota I pledge to:

· Practice CPR (catch-photo-release). Large fish are fun to catch for everyone a picture will last a long time and give another a chance to experience the battle. If I feel the need to have a trophy fish mounted I will have a replica made from my pictures.

· Take out of nature everything I take in and if I see someone else’s junk I will carry it out with me if I can.

Take someone else fishing with me. Young or old the experience will be one to remember.

Practice good conservation and respect the environment. (Also start to phase lead out of your tackle box especially when fishing rivers with lots of snags use non lead weights.)

Respect other people fishing. (Don't just pull up to someones spot and start fishing give them some space they will respect you for it and maybe share some info on the area with you.)

How many times have you seen old pictures of full stringers of big fish or heard stories of the big fish that used to be caught at a location? How’s the fishing there now?
